A note to our friends and customers in the USA.. Tariffs in general, and that the US is ending the de minimis exemption for all countries.. Effective August 29, 2025, products valued $800 or less are subject to applicable duties no matter the country of origin.
Cds, vinyl LPs, posters and books are exempt from tariffs under US law 50 USC 1702(b)(3). Even so there is likely to be confusion about this at least in the beginning as customs and postal carriers navigate the changes. I will provide an update on how to deal with incorrectly charged taxes as that information becomes available...
T-shirts shipped to the USA will now be subject to taxes (tariffs), which are due before the item can be delivered. It is my understanding that the tax amount due is the tariff that has been placed on the EU (of which Ireland is a part). Currently, this is 15%. Just for reference, UK orders are taxed at 20% VAT and EU orders are taxed at 23% VAT.
If you place an order that requires tax (tariffs) to be paid, An Post (The Irish Postal Service) has put a process in place to make payment of this tariff as easy as possible. After your order has been posted you will receive an email from An Post requesting payment. A time frame of 5 calendar days applies for the taxes to be paid. Once paid, the parcel will be delivered to the USA. If not paid, the item will be returned to The Roy Harper Shop.
Please make sure that you order with an email address that you check emails for frequently. You will also have to check your junk filter just in case. The email will most likely be from <noreply@anpost.ie>. This is the address that we locally receive similar tax due on orders before delivery. But I will confirm that as soon as I know for sure.
Shipping:
All orders are shipped via An Post standard service.
Most orders are processed and shipped within 2-3 business days. During new releases, tours, and other busy office times this processing time could possibly be a week or more. If you need your order to be shipped straight way (for a gift perhaps) please email customer service and I'll do my best to get it into the post the same day.
'Shipped' is the day that your order is delivered to the post office.

Returns & Replacements:
If you receive a damaged or incorrect item or have another reason to return your order please email customer service to explain what went wrong and we'll work it out.

You can expect replacement of damaged or defective items by return or a refund in the same form of payment originally used for purchase upon our receipt of your returned product or agreement by email. Refunds for returns because of non-payment of taxes will be made less processing fees and packaging costs.

We offer downloads in two quality levels: CD Quality FLAC (16 bit 44.1kHz) and MP3 (256 kbps)
FLAC - FLAC files require a special player. FLAC files provide a perfect digital copy of the music without any loss in quality. A FLAC audio file is much larger in size than an MP3 file so will take longer to download. For more information on FLAC format and the various players available please visit the FLAC website.
MP3 - Our MP3s are encoded without DRM using the LAME encoder at a constant bitrate of 256 kbps. If the download speed of your internet connection is a concern, or if you have dial up, then this file is best for you. This file type should work with all computer types and has widespread playback support.
The download files are compressed into a Zip file. Most systems now include decompression software that will automatically unzip your download. if you don't have decompression software you can download Stuffit Expander for free for Windows, Mac OS and iOS.
